Opening a Compute Canada Account
All lab members can request to open a Compute Canada account and use any of the supercomputer sites available to us.
To do so, please follow these steps:
- Go to the Compute Canada Database (CCDB): https://ccdb.computecanada.ca/security/login
- Click on “Register” next to the “Sign in” button.
- Read and accept the conditions.
- Fill the next forms with your information.
- The “Institution” is “Calcul Québec: McGill University”.
- Choose your position category under “Sponsored User”.
- Your sponsor is Alan's lab code : eim-670-01
- You request will then be reviewed and approved by an administrator, you will get notified of the approval.
- Once approved, you need to join a consortium to access specific machines (for Guillimin, Calcul Quebec (CQ)).
- Log in your account: https://ccdb.computecanada.ca/security/login
- Go to the “My Account” menu → “Apply to Consortium Account” → click “apply” next to the CQ consortium.
After these steps you should be ready to access and use Compute Canada resources.
